Corporate
Citizenship

Our ongoing commitment to the recruitment and training of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples is reinforced through the development and implementation of our own Reconciliation Action Plan. As an Indigenous business, we support the development of businesses and communities in the many regions in which we operate.

As an Indigenous business we are committed to endeavours focused on closing the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australian’s in areas of health, education, life expectancy and career progressions. Strategic partnerships with Indigenous organisations and suppliers, and a commitment to continual reinvestment into our local communities drives our achievement of economic empowerment and job creation, creating a positive change for Indigenous Australians.

We are committed to:

  • Utilising 10% of profits in support of Indigenous groups.
  • Engaging our community of Supply Nation Certified Indigenous businesses as a first preference.
  • Growing a workforce of Indigenous employees in all aspects of our business.
  • Supporting the wellbeing of our Indigenous employees and their families.
  • Initiating training and upskilling for our Indigenous employees so that they leave our organisation a better person.
  • Driving community engagement with a broad range of Indigenous companies through mentoring and supporting growth.
  • Achieving social procurement outcomes for our clients.

Diversity &
Inclusion

Our people are our pride, and we celebrate their diversity. Their skills, expertise and personalities have developed from different personal and professional backgrounds – this is the key to our success! We are dedicated to maintaining a corporate culture that nurtures acceptance, safety, and development for all.

We are working hard to further enhance the diversity of our workplaces, to ensure we benefit from the value different perspective bring our employees and organisation.

Indigenous
Engagement

We are committed to closing the gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians in the areas of health, education, life expectancy and career progressions. In an effort to achieve this, 10% of our profits are donated to support Indigenous groups.

The key to our future strategic direction is to grow our partnerships with Indigenous communities, regional organisations and peak bodies to reflect our commitment to support growth, opportunities, and capacity building. We see our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan as an important step in achieving these goals.

The long-term vision of the Zancott Knight management team is to create a professional hub of Indigenous employees from a range of trades, professions and working backgrounds that operate with the common goal of advancing Indigenous health, education and employment opportunities. Our corporate strategy utilises our local industry to support our operations, providing a robust and adaptable project delivery style that ensures effective delivery on any work site.

Our company strives to benefit both the local communities we work in and Indigenous Australians. As our business grows, we will grow the Indigenous community around us.

Sustainability

Sustainable business principles are integrated into our operational practices to minimise our impact on future generations. Our Environmental Management System is a collection of processes, procedures, plans and tools that are implemented on a daily basis. It outlines our approach to assessing the environmental impacts of our activities and our commitment to reducing our footprint.

Supporting local communities

As we grow, so do the local communities around us as we engage the services of Supply Nation Certified resources from the area. Their local connection and understanding of the region are invaluable.

Corporate Governance

Our clients place a high degree of trust in us when they commission us to create their dream, and as such, we are continually driven to exceed their expectations. Both our employees and subcontractors operate in accordance to our corporate social responsibility guidelines, with policies surrounding workplace health and safety, environments and sustainability and social procurement.

Risk minimisation

We are dedicated to creating value and minimising risk while operating with the upmost integrity. Our ISO accredited Integrated Management Systems guide our ongoing achievement of strong risk management practices and the protection of our client’s data.

Safety-first culture

The safety of your people, properties and communities remain our top priority. We provide our team with the knowledge, tools and attributes to ensure all environments are safe at all times through the following:

  • Contract-specific training and induction with refresher training conducted on an annual basis
  • Rigorous safety preparation with safe work practices embedded within our operational methodology
  • A dedicated Safety Committee who consider all relevant safety concerns, inclusive of legislative changes, employee concerns, incidents and investigations, training requirements and the tracking of continual improvement.
